Tiggs and CM as well.
Now how exactly did I get 26 posts this week? Haven’t been around much since SWMBO has been telling me what to do. Anyway she’s home now and I’m enjoying telling people that because she was disobedient I had to Slit Her Throat. or It was Throat Cancer and could she have another pack of Cigarettes.
She refused to push the car home from the Horsepital as well and then when I got her home she refused to do the washing up or feed me. Even worse she didn’t mow the yard. 🙁
But the next day she did do the washing up apparently her son didn’t do it to her standards or maybe at all half way decently where as I just used disposable plates. Now if people would just stop dropping around to see how she feels. 😉

Finding this post was a major PITA for me. I searched TR for “TR Community scoreboard” from the search bar at the top of the page; it returned nothing newer than August of this year and a link to the hot discussions page. I searched Google for “TR Community scoreboard” and got the same results.
How did I find it? I used the search bar at the top of the discussions list.
There’s something wrong with this picture…

I have added Sonja as a Contact and when I go looking for this I just look up my Contacts click on Sonja and then the last entry that she has made.
If you scroll down the Disgusting Page and click on the View More and then actually find the TR Community Scoreboard and are silly enough to click on it you get taken to the Home Page or at least the last time I tried that way you did.
Goggling TR Community Scoreboard also works I’m told but I never personally thought to go outside the site to find a discussion. Maybe I’m just silly though. :^0

But the other day I took SWMBO to the Quacks and waiting in the Pharmacy a little girl who had turned 4 that day was walking around telling everyone she was 4 and what a wonderful day it was.
After speaking to SWMBO she asked what that bit of dressing on the back of her hand was for where an IV had been and SWMBO said the Doctor did that to me then she asked what the dressing on her neck was about and again SWMBO said the doctor did that to me, the little girl replied ”BAD DOCTOR I don’t like him”, SWMBO said “nor do I.” We all got a laugh out of that. 😉

In reply to hitting 55 is about when you wish you’d bought that half ownership
That’s what I did about a year and a half ago, bought a small
drugstore. I’m not having to take any meds at the present,
but Mrs Wiz has to take a few. The US healthcare system
lets the pharmaceutical manufacturers operate like “robber
barons”, especially in regards to name brand drugs. So
I’ve gotten Mrs Wiz’s docs to allow substitution with a generic
if possible. Then you’ve got the insurance robber barons,
that cut your reimbursement to sometimes less than what
you just paid for the stuff, and their notion of a “professional
fee” is in the range of $1 to $2…it can be tough!
OK, enough of that for now…we’re supposed to be having
a happy weekend here!! Where’s the party? I brought
the mugs… {_}3 {_}3 {_}3 {_}3 {_}3 {_}3 {_}3 {_}3 {_}3 -

of you can buy anything at the wholesale price as against the retail price you save between 30% to 50% if the retail price. Since owners usually get anything through the business at wholesale, as a minimum, that represents a good savings on a personal basis.

Why do people think that any money that Governments send them is really theirs being returned by the said Government?
When we pay Taxes we are allowing the Government to do it’s job to protect us from the Big Bad World out there so why do people think that paying taxes now is somehow the Government stealing their money and when the Government starts paying Benefits in any form it is just returning My Money?

up the taxes and say it’s to pay for that new social program, they did that when they set up government old age pensions. Thus they provide an expectation that we can get the social payment later or when needed because they’ve been taking money off us to pay for that. “When we pay Taxes we are allowing the Government to do it’s job to protect us from the Big Bad World out there …”
Some of us disagree that protecting us from the world is its job. I don’t think anyone would debate that defending out country from other countries is part of a government’s job. But ‘protecting’ us from the results of our own (in)actions, from our own failure to save for retirement or purchase health insurance or use products in ways no sober person would attempt? That’s where the debate lies.

What’s that old saying I used to hear??
by Wizard57M-TR · about 11 years, 6 months ago
In reply to Youngster? Really???
Something like “It’s not the years, it’s the mileage”! LOL!
Wrinkles, spots, etc. don’t bother me, I have plenty to go
around. Those “light colored shades” in my hair? Nah,
not gray, it’s experience!! No, I’m not going bald, my
forehead is getting higher!! I used to laugh at Tim Conway’s
little old man character, until I noticed friends only a few years
more experienced than myself taking on those characteristics!!
I keep telling my kids not to laugh at us, because before they
know what happened, they will be doing the same thing!
Twenty years goes by a lot faster when you turn 40 as opposed
to turning 20! My own confrontation with “high mileage” occurred
about 4 years ago, when a previous job had me doing a lot of
driving in unfamiliar territory…did you know some places think it
is acceptable to use blurry writing for their street and highway signs?!!
Sheesh…then I was told by an optometrist that it WASN’T the signs,
but my eyes! What?!? No way…but alas, the eyeglasses did indeed
make the writing on the signs clear! So now I wear them when driving…
kind of irritating though, my peripheral vision is still great, and I see
things from the side, but to make out distant detail I have to turn my
head in the direction rather than just glance.
Mrs Wiz, trying to be consoling, told me my glasses made me look
like a “professor”…Gee, thanks hon! Anyway…a lot of the time I
leave my glasses right there on an end table with my cell phone, LOL!
Hoping she doesn’t catch me out and about without both, hehe! -

… I just love you!
I got my first bifocals in my mid 30s and am not allowed to drive without them according to the State of Minnesota.
Of course, I got my first gray hair at the age of 8. True story. Lady Clairol is a good friend.
A friend of mine told me that now that I’m old, I am now entitled to say and do whatever I want because I will now be considered “wise”. That works for me!

Here’s something funny about the State of Oklahoma!!!
by Wizard57M-TR · about 11 years, 6 months ago
In reply to Mr Wiz, this is one of those days…
Even though I probably do need glasses to see distant objects
a bit more clearly, when I went to have my driver license renewed,
the state license folks had me remove my glasses for the picture???
What? OK, fine with me…plus there is still no “restriction” on my
license that I have to wear “corrective” lenses! But I think I’ve
figured out what they really wanted…an unrestricted view of the
crows-feet around my eyes!! Sneaky devils! I wonder if state
department employees sit around getting their laughs from
counting the wrinkles in my picture??
They also “grandfathered” (subliminal terminology??) my
motorcycle operating license, been riding for close to 40 years,
guess they figured I didn’t need to take the state test to demonstrate
a proficiency at operating a motorcycle.
Oh, they do eventually offer a perk to older folks, at age 65
or so they waive the fee to renew a drivers license…again,
no test to show ability though???
Just some of those things that make me say “Hmmmmm!”

I look at them as a “face accessory”. I had to take my glasses off in NJ too for my driver’s license photo, but my license says I wear corrective lenses. Now, in NJ, you are no longer able to smile for your license photo either because it upsets the facial recognition technology :O . I wouldn’t be surprised if they were data-mining those crows-feet. One of the biggest disappointments of aging was getting bifocals. I appreciated them for several days, until the first time I was walking behind my wife. I glanced down to check out her fanny and was appalled to realize it was out of focus; I was viewing it through the lower ‘near vision’ lens. I could tilt my head down, but then it becomes apparent to everyone what I’m doing.

I have had a small gray streak in my hair for years (since I was young). Now I am starting to slowly go totally gray (must be the stress of the IT industry :p ). I’m only 33; my Mom says that I look “distinguished” :O

Lots of (((((hugs))))) Sorry it is late. I just got back from a week of vacation, and I promised myself I wouldn’t turn on my computer that whole week. I did make it the whole week, though being sick the entire week sucked 🙁 Wasn’t my idea of a vacation…
