Transfer of TV from PC to Television

By christopher.arnfield ·
Is it possible to transfer TV programs broadcast to my PC, to my television set?
This is because I want to ditch Sky, and just pay for the football matches available live on PC much cheaper.
Am idea of the hardware required would be appreciated.

Regards

Chris

Depends on your TV and video card...

Dependant upon what hardware you have installed in your PC, and your TV, you may be able to do some without additional hardware.

Cris you need a Video card that has support for a composite out signal

This is a RCA plug that is on a normal cable that goes between the Computer and either Video Input to something like a VCR.

That will handle the Video out but for sound you need a decent set of speakers to play the sound directly from the computer or a sound card with support for your Surround Sound System so if you have a 5.1 Surround Sound System you need a 5.1 Sound Card that you can connect to the Surround Sound AMY with RCA Plugs at one end and a 3.5 mm Stereo Jack to plug into the sound card. With 5.1 it required 3 of these leads.
