transfer pcanywhere settings

By musebasa ·
How does one transfer his pcanywhere settings when he changes computer so that he does not have to do it all over again for each connection. Is there a way to import it?

Thanks

Copy the contents of C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\pcAnywhere from the old computer to the same location on the new computer. I use PC Anywhere 10.5.0 and W2k Pro. I would think other versions will be the same though.

You just need to transfer the contents of the remotes folder from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\pcAnywhere\Remotes.

1) Install pcanywhere on new machine.
2) Search for folder containing *.bhf(hosts) *.chf(remotes) on new computer
3) Search for folder containing *.bhf(hosts) *.chf(remotes) on old computer

Copy files from old directory over new directory
