Trying to get RDWC to work with different port numbers.

By jmendel ·
I have a router/firewall with a static IP and behind that there are two servers. One is currently running Terminal Services and is using ports 80 and 3389. I need to setup another server to have access via (preferably) Remote Desktop Web Connection (RDWC). I have installed IIS and configured port forwarding on the router/firewall to allow the ports I chose for HTTP and RDC. I have also configured IIS to listen to the port I specified for HTTP. Now when I put in: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:port in a web browser it comes back and says: "Under Construction. The site you are trying to view does not currently have a default page. It may be in the process of being upgraded and configured."

I am not sure why it is not seeing the default page that is listening on the port I specified. I see the port as listening when I run netstat at a DOS prompt. Any suggestions?

Thanks.
