Trying to use PCA without static address

By dave ·
I am trying to use PC anywhere in order to access my desktop remotely. My ISP is Bellsouth and they change the IP every 12 hours. I am not an IT pro so I am seeking the easiest solution to the problem. I recently purchased 2 Nic cards a hub but, have not installed them yet. If anyone can tell me the simplest way to do this between my laptop and desktop, it would be appreciated.

Can I assume that you have the ability to create a web page on the Bellsouth webserver? If so, you can use a software program that will post your IP address onto the webpage at selected intervals. When you need to find your current IP address for your server you can just check this page for the information. Check out winfiles.com for programs like this. Another type of program that might work for you would be IPMailer which can be found at:
http://ipmailer.freeservers.com/
It will email you your IP address whenever it changes. An example of an IP Poster can be found at: http://noeld.com/
