Typing On the Internet

I cannot type an entry into a webpage. I place the cursor in a spot and much as hit at the keyboard none of the symbols come onto the webpage and so I cannot do any searches or enter websites. Also having this problem with mail I am trying to send from Outlook Express. Help

probably not using IE with all the HORRIBLE bells and whistles running, and the place requires scripts and X.

There are a lot of useless people in charge of web pages these daze....

Glad you have a sense of humour... unfortunately this applies to EVERYTHING from gmail to online banking. Would be really great if you IT consultants could show your skill point me in a direction to correct the problem. thanks

If you don't tell us what you're using on this computer, it's pretty tough to make a GUESS as to what's wrong.

What make/model computer are you using? How old is it?

What operating system and version are you using?

What browser/version are you using to access the web?

Where is it that you are "placing the cursor in a spot"?

Can you type in other programs, such as a word processor or text editor?
