Unable to see new shares on win2k

By JOGO ·
I have a p2p network with most machines running win2k, recently i created new shares on the win2k
machines and the machines running win98 can not see them at all. can not say exactly when the problem started but i know it used to work since i haveno problems with shares i created months ago. Let me also mention that about 2 months ago some of the win98 pcs were infected by NIMDA HELP!

Unable to see new shares on win2k

1) Make sure that the name of the share is not too long. Just create share with a short name & check.

2) You got NIMDA attack. Me too. :) Make sure the Share Permissions are not restricting the win98 users from accessing the share. (Also check NTFS permissions) This is bcauz after attack I run the Symantec Nimda killer.

This software removed the prmissions on shares for Everyone group & added Admin ... inthe list for tight security.
