Undividual FTP folders for each account

By David Ramos ·
Hello,

I am using the IIS5.0 FTP server, and there is only one root directory. Any user who logs onto the server via FTP is taken to the root directory, provided they have access to it. How can I make each user be taken to their own home directory? Some people say I would be better off using Serv-U or WarFTPd, but I have seen it done with IIS, such as with Interland.net.

I have tried adding a virtual directory with the name of the user, and it takes them there in some clients, but I don't like the appearance of '/username'. I would rather it appear to be their '/' directory.

Thanks,

you should be able to specify global rights to each user accessing the operating system. under the specific user's properties you can specify a "Local path" to which they will logon to as their home path.
