Uninstalling Program

By s.spadafore ·
I am running Windows XP Home on an HP Pavillian t640a.
Recently In downloaded from one of your newsletters (29/6/2005) a program listed under "Partner Marketplace" the program being "PC MightyMax" - Now I cannot unistall it entirely.
I have been able to delete all of the files (apparently) but the program does not want to completely uninstall. It comes up with "error 606 could not access network location %USER PROFILE%\PrintHood\" -

Any suggestions?

Start your computer in safe mode and try to remove it then.

You can download a program called

Hijack This:

Hijack This
This program is useful in that it shows what is currently loading on startup.

You must know what is good and what is bad. Once you check it and fix it is gone. So be sure.

Items you are not sure of do a Google search for them.

Good Luck

Hijackthis will get rid of startup processes but won't uninstall the program completely.

I would go to download.com and install JV16 Powertools. Install this this program. Restart in safe mode. Run it and do a Registry Cleaner. Select an aggressive scan and clean all the errors. Restart.

It should get rid of this problem.
