By gngolden ·
I'm looing for a driver set that will allow an ODBC connection from Access to a database on a unix RISC6000 box.

Any suggestions?

Unix to Office2000 ODBC Drivers

Hi!

All you'll need is the ODBC client for you database. It dosen't matter that you are running your database on a Unix machine, but you need the client for your specific database.

f.ex. If you are running a DB2 on the Unix machine you'll ned to install DB2 Connect on the client machines that need ODBC connections.

Same goes for all other databases, Oracle, Sybase, Informix..... and so on.

odbc drivers are specific for each database regardless of platform. that is the idea. get the odbc driver from the db mfr for the platform that access is on. install it, make a dsn, and you should be good to go.
