Unplugging Network Card

By bob ·
Does anyone know what exactly changes if the Network Card is Unplugged. Or does anything change? Big LEGAL question over a pornographic bust.

Need a answer fast...

NIC address

by larah In reply to Unplugging Network Card

There are multiple things that change on the box itself depending on the OS running. Looking at it from the network perspective: one thing consistent is the "unique" MAC address assigned to that NIC is hard-coded. So then regardless of type of IPaddressing you use the "unique" address of that particular machine (by virtue of its NIC) will have changed.
