Unresolved DNS names

By geoff_jones ·
I am running Windows 2000 and cannot resolve URLs with the suffix .co.uk This seems to be isolated to this machine as my server next door running nt 4.0 with same DNS and WINS settings has no problem resolving any URL with this suffix.
I am assuming it is a setting issue with my WIN2000 settings. Anyone out there offer any help or advice please

check whether you w2k dns is assuming as the root of the hierarchy by examing if there is a "." zone. if there is one, you may need to delete it away.

The problem is with your ISP, more exactly the static routes. Try with the command ->tracert "URL" and check the results
