CAN I SAVE SOME CASH BY USING MY EXISTING TAPE

if the tape drive worked with Windows can't see any reason why it won't continue to work.

You want to know the difference in DNT ?? do you mean DAT or DLT tape compared to ?????? Travan? LTO?? or even Iomega stuff??? and difference is kinda nebulous term. Most tape drives do the same thing. The manner and quality in which they accomplish it [compatibility as well] is really what difference are about between different backup media types.
