The answer is no my customers are not being dictated to on what they use by Microsoft.
They will use what works for them for the time being and rely on me to secure their environment.

I recently update my own system from Windows XP to Windows 7. However; I used other security software such as McAfee Security and use McAfee as my personal firewall. In my opinion, Microsoft security firewall is weak. I agree if businesses and personal users choose not to upgrade their operating system, security companies such Norton, McAfee, and other security companies will be a big factor in protecting system vulnerability.

To most developing countries, cost concerns are still superseding chances of risks.

Do you think Windows 7 would install without all of troubles supposing the BIOS has the capability to reset the NX to on? The HDD is a only a couple of years old. I’m trying to keep wife’s D3000 going to avoid XP death, and until we can afford a replacement.

There is no way in this wide world that any business is going to install Pirate Windows OS’s onto their machines. Microsoft has caught way too many business doing that in the past and hit then hard.
Saving a few hundred Dollars on Licensing Fees is nothing compared to what the Legal People get out of these places and what happens to those responsible.

Most of my clients had some problems with an OS up date on the older hardware so opted to wait until their older machines reached their limits and they got new hardware with WIN7 installed and few tried WIN8 but had trouble with the screens and navigation so did a down grade to WIN7. All have been delighted with the short learning curve with WINXP to WIN7.
