    Uptomp Utility

    Has anyone successfully used uptomp utility to upgrade from single processor to multi processor? If yes, can you pls provide procedure step by step. Thanks

      The uptomp.exe works fine on standard NT installs ie: clones and non OEM computers, it modifies the 9 or so files needed to upgrade and works fine. If you have an IBM, Compaq, Dell, HP, etc, IT WILL crash your system. It will ask you for the nt install cd (the one with the no custom HAL’s.) This will be devistating. MS recommends that you do a second install on the hd and copy the updated system files to the new system.
      It’s touch good luck, I’ve had about a 60 to 40 success rate.
