User manager for Domains for Win98

By richv ·
Will the User manager for Domains found on the NT Resource Kit also work on Windows 98?

I cannot find it on the Win 98 Resource Kit.

Thanks you any info you can provide.

I have not tested it, but the User Mgr. for NT workstations works on Win2K Pro, so I would think that the 95 version would work on 98. The basic User mgr. program itself hasn't changed. Hope this helps!

The admin tools is available on Windows NT Server CD. You don't need NT Resource Kit for Domain User manager etc.

If user manager is all you need, just create a shortcut to the original location on the server.

Good Luck!

I would go to the NT Server and run the Network Client administrator. You need the NT CD. The Network Client administrator will guide you through creating a SETUPADM share.
Then over to the 95 or 98 machine. Go to control panel add remove programs have disk and connect to the setupadm share, look for the win95 directory and latch on to the inf file. Once installed you get a new folder on the Programs menu. The user manager will be in there.
