Using PERT with Subprojects

By ArmstrongDA ·
I have created two sub-project files in MS Project 98, which I have linked into a master project file. I can see the sub-project details in the Gantt chart view, but when I switch to Pert chart view, I cannot see any of the detail tasks in the sub-projects. I assume this is a limitation of Project. Is there a work-around?

Using PERT with Subprojects

If you want to see it as a pert chart, copy and paste the activities of each project into a new project rather than try and multiproject it. At least you will be able to see it. The PERT Feature is rather weak in MSP98. There are also add-ons to MSProject98 that you can buy that do a much better job. As an alternative you can buy a more expensive scheduling package such as Welcom's Open Plan which will upload MSP98 Projects and multiproject them in the more expensive project. I would recommend this approach to anyone trying to Multiproject MSP98 projects. TPH :-)
