I'm thinking you meant to type USB... hopefully so since I do not know what a USP port is.

At any rate if it is usb, then the first thing you need to do is boot into your system BIOS (Press F2 to enter setup -- or whatever key combination your computer requires) and then make sure that your USB (Universal Serial Bus) is "enabled." For some reason, some computers' system boards default to USB="disabled." Save and boot into your system normally.

If your OS supports USB, windows shouldthen find the port and may ask for the Windows cd-rom to be inserted. If it does not do this, then go to device manager and look to see if Universal Serial Bus is there and that there are no conflicts reported.

Anna is correct that you have to have the USB ports enabled in the BIOS before they will work.

You also may need to install a chipset driver so that Windows can communicate to the port.
You would get this driver from your system, or mother boardmanufacture.

You did not say what operating system you are using. Most versions of Windows 95 are nat able to work with USB ports at all. Only version 2.5 / "C" has USB support.

Even the "C" version has limited USB compatability. I recommend Windows 98 SE or higher for USB support.
