Virtual Printer - Plain Text Output

By mikedyne ·
Hello all!

I'm looking for a virtual print device which will allow me to print as a plain text file in a specific location.

Think along the lines of a PDF Printer, just for plain text.

Anyone know of something they'd recommend?

Many thanks,

Mike

Add printer (local) choose the port File and then pick generic text.

It's close to what I need

However it *slightly* changes the format of the outputted document (adds small amount of text). I cannot use this as a solution as it would mean paying 1/2 a day fee to a company to change some of our bespoke software.

I require a print driver to output exactly the same as the input. I'd also like to be able to specify the output file location dependant on the input file name.

Thanks for you help so far though!

And your best solution is to pay for save as file.
What text it's adding you might be able to deal with, file name, problematic to near impossible.
