I will soon install a new Windows 2000 Server Box.(currently still running NT 4.0 SP6a) What is the BEST way to implement VPN. We currently use a dial-up RAS which can be very expensive per month.
Suggestion???....????

Here are a couple of sites you'll want to take a look at. They offer a lot of configuration, security and troubleshooting assistance:

http://www.labmice.net/networking/VPN.htm

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/technologies/commun ications/vpn/default.asp

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/support/VPN_help.htm

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/columns/ru ssel/december03.asp

Make sure to delete any spaces in the above URLs.

Good Luck!

You can create ras on your server box that you are converting. But with the current systems dial up is really not needed unless your using it for admin purposes. You can VPN right from your ISP.
