W2K pro and Adobe photoshop

By boomio ·
I just purchased a CD here with images on it. All the images are in .jpg format. But when I go to save them on to my hard drive, sometimes the default "save as" option comes up as .gif and other times it comes up as .html. Is there a reason for this???

Normally this happens because of what you where doing previously and keeps the last worked on Image Format as the preferred one to save in. Or it could be that the images that you are importing are not JPEG but different formats and the program tries to keep them in the same format as you received them in. It really depends on what you have been doing.

But no matter what all you need do is change the format to JPEG before you save the images you may looses some features depending on what if anything has been done to the images but at least you'll have a standard Image Library when you finish.
