Weird overnight computer restart

luketigers
EDIT: Problem solved - Friend lied that they turned it on. Lock post or something (:

Hi, below I have a log copy of my event viewer from the time I shutdown last night to the time I walked in this morning and saw my computer on on it's own. Setpoint was asking for the final register info, and a USB device had been used apparently (probably the mouse and linked to the Setpoint info). Nothing else seems to be touched but my computer definately reset itself.

Is this a virus or external hacker? I have only been playing games so I doubt I have opened a bad link anywhere. TY in advance.

The shadow copies of volume C: were aborted because the shadow copy storage could not grow due to a user imposed limit.

I have seen several instances where an internal modem was the cause of mysterious reboots at night.
It may have nothing to do with what you are experiencing, but try yanking the dialup modem from the board if present. - an esay test assuming you use broadband.
