What are the career options after BCA?

By ani_rins ·
I am in my final year BCA.I want to pursue my career in Networking & Security field.I dont like programming. So shuld I take a PG and then do certification or get the certification first and get into a job and then do PG as part time? Will M.Sc CS/IT be ok instead of MCA since i am not interested in programming? Please reply soon

career options after BCA

by jlouis45 In reply to What are the career optio ...

If you are looking the career options in India then you would require a graduation in your field of interest eg. Networking / IT Security. This is the base qualification. Then you can pursue your PG. I personally would suggest you get into a job and pursue your education. MSc / BSc holds the same weightage as long as you can prove your ability in your area of work. An MCA would surely be a better option than MSc CS/IT as it is more recoginzed than MSc. I would suggest you not to close your mind to programming as it gives you some insight in whatever you do in IT. I do have this drawback as I was like you hating programming. I did my B.com and am into IT for the last 10.7 years. Consider all the options before you jump start anything. Hope this would help.
