what categories of end user would a tablet pc be appropriate

Does the tablet pc represent a new and different form of end user computing? Why? why not?

I think the tablet is for the mobile user who unlike other users are not sitting down at a desk or setting on a train or a plane or eating/drinking at a cafe.

The tablet is ideal for those working in factories or warehouses and need to collect or gather information into a PC such as stock control, statistical gathering, monitoring and there is no place to sit down. Its a very niche type of market.
