what do I need to make for a broadband connection?

Hello I connect to the Interent using a broadband connection (cable)what do I need to make it a wireless connection,I mean to use the internet all over the house without worrying about the cable.and can I use more than one laptop at the same time with the same connection?

Well you could get a wireless router that has your boadband modem built in. Or you could get a wireless access point that you plug into the NIC (network port) on your computer thats currently connected and share the internet with it. The problem with the last solution is that the PC will have to be on to access the wireless internet.

2 ways i know of and use

2 ways, 1st using modem and router(get a wireless router with ethernet plugs too). connect modem to router(not hub)then plug closest pc to router via ethernet cable. 2nd uses modem ,wireless router and depending on amount of pc,s included in network,several pci wireless kits(i prefer d-link) plug modem into wireless router with supplied ethernet cable in designated spot.then put pci wireless adaptors into all related pc.s, install drivers,follow directions and your all set- tommie j

A wirelwss router and a wireless pci lan card if it is not pre installed.It usually is with most laptops these days.
