What is a COMPOSITE POWER SOURCE?

The answer depends on which motherboard you have installed. The most common problem is with some slot 1 motherboards that have dual (Both AT and ATX) power feeds.
The message is usually caused by an out of range voltage.
The first thing: Take a multimeter (Voltmeter) and check the voltages from the power supply.
If the Power Supply is OK, then check the motherboard's onboard regulators.

I assume that the motherboard is properly set up, since you did not say this was a setup.
If this is a motherboard install, there is a jumper for the AT-ATX power feed select. Check the jumper position.
