There is no accepted standard. But then you don't really want encrypted mail to be following a standard anyway. The more obscure encryption you use the harder it is to break.

D AND E actually. While it is true that many SMTP and POP servers utilized the widely accepted PGP standard, "encryption" by definition should not be a standard.

PGP, by the way, is not even completely, totally accepted on EVERY server. It is, however, the most widespread due to its ease of installation.
