What Pre-1985 Video Game Character are you?
Lockedby steffi28 · about 17 years, 1 month ago
I’m Mario
http://quiz.ravenblack.net/videogame.plI like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren’t for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can’t stay out of trouble. What Video Game Character Are You?

I, Dave O, am:
(this may take some editing to make it look right)
I am sedentary by nature, enjoying passive entertainment, eating when the mood takes me, and playing with my food. I try to avoid conflict, but when I’m angered, I can be a devil – if you force me to fight, I will crush you. With apples. What Video Game Character Are You?
Gosh. I didn’t realize that I was so passive/agressive!

by daveo2000 · about 17 years, 1 month ago
In reply to I didn’t make this up…
If I decide to eat the flesh of the living instead of fruit I can become: (drum roll)
I am fiercely protective of my friends and loved ones, and unforgiving of any who would hurt them. Speed and foresight are my strengths, at the cost of a little clumsiness. I’m most comfortable with a few friends, but sometimes particularly enjoy spending time in larger groups. What Video Game Character Are You?

Who is Mr Do?
by svpaladin · about 17 years, 1 month ago
In reply to I too am a Mr Do, who I’ve never heard of, but it makes sense
Mr Do is a clone / rip off of Dig Dug (or it went the other way around, I don’t exactly recall who came first…)
Both games have you digging through material, with an inflation-gun and the ability to drop stuff on the baddies.
Dig Dug was all earth-toney with rocks etc., while Mr Do was all pastel with fruits etc.

Every one of the Baddies was modelled on me! :p
Prior to 1985 I had a constant stream of programmers who wrote games come in and observe me at work so they could decide what habits of mine to incorporate into their games. 😀
After Video Cameras became cheap enough for the masses they just Video Taped me for a week and took the highlights. I’m still being paid Royalties for that tape. :^0

I actually lost 25 apprentices one day when I stuck them in the bottom of a lift shaft and parked the lift as low as it would go. I never saw them again and to this day I’m not sure what happened to them as they where way too big to be picked up by the pump that we used to pump the water out of the building with as we cleaned up after the floods. ?:|
I only had at least 6 feet of water over the lowest floor and we where sucking the waste water out from the lift shafts. I’ll never fully understand what happened to them or how they got out but unless you’ve taken to a Main Frame Floor with a Fire Hose to clean it out with all the hardware in place you’ll never understand the joy involved in hosing out the area. We started several floors up and worked out way down to the Main Frame room and the place where I left the apprentices. 😀
When I raised the lift up to get the apprentices out as they where in there to stop the water pumps from getting clogged they had all disappeared and not one has been seen to this day. 🙁
Anyway how’s my favourite Beat Up Pu$$y Today?

Actually I don’t know what was in that soup
by hal 9000 · about 17 years, 1 month ago
In reply to Hahaha
It was very muddy as is to be expected when you get 40 feet + of water flowing through a City. At one place we found some aircraft wings sealed up in their packing crates and no one came to claim them. 🙁
We couldn’t throw them out either as if we moved them we could have been charged with Looting as if anyone needs to steal some Boeing wings. 😀
Not sure where they came from or what eventually happened to them but I’m supposing that an insurance Company paid for them and some new ones where bought. We just moved them out of the thick mud and cleaned up the place. I’m really not sure how the little Sod’s got out as that was the only lift in that part of the building and it was enclosed and freshly greased to prevent rust by the makers of the lift. A perfect place to place some apprentices for the less that clean work. :^0
OH BTW do you know how to perform a Screen Capture and send the job to the Printer Properly yet? That Video Clip was the way not to perform that action. :p
Incidentally any news when the bandages and other devices are coming off the Pu$$y? ]:)

I have fond memories of the 60’s so my spring chicken has seen a few springs.
I never had anything that nice with 2 wheels but I did wear out a few tires on an almost-G.T.O. It was more of a Bui-Chev-mobil-iac. It seems that many G.M. parts could be put together and work nicely! It is also interesting how quickly metallic brake pads will go through rotors! (But sure did stop nicely!)

Well if you like I can give you a lesson
by hal 9000 · about 17 years, 1 month ago
In reply to Don’t tell Steffi but…
In Brake Material and what the different materials used to make Brake Pads should be used with/
In many cases Stinted Bronze Pads are used with Iron Rotors when they where designed for Stainless Steel Rotors and they do wear out the Iron Rotors quite quickly because they where never designed for the Iron Rotors but to displace water off the Stainless ones so you could stop reliably with the Stainless Steel ones fitted.
Prior to stinted Bronze Pads being developed people who had Stainless Steel Disk Rotors Read that as Japanese Motor Cycle Riders could apply a lot of front brake and nothing happened as a fine film of water was allowed to remain between the Pads and Rotor. Not very good for stopping in an emergency in the wet but at least the rotors never rusted like the Iron ones would and look grotty. 😀
In those cases looks are far more important that usefulness as after you park your bike in the side of a car and kill yourself the bike remains still look good and nothing is rusting because you could stop long before you ever came near the object that you hit. :^0
I lost count of the number of times that I was told that there was something wrong with my every day rider an 860 GTS because when I parked it in a light rain the Disc Rotors would begin to rust and because it didn’t look right there must have been something wrong with the bike as none of the others in the parking lot did that. The fact that they also didn’t stop or even slow down in the wet was immaterial that’s just how they performed in those days. Now Days it’s the Disk Pads that rust and allow the Stainless Steel Rotors to keep looking nice and new.

What 2007 M$ Office Product are you? Not nearly as fun as being a game charachter but hey! Im Word, how boring is that lol
You are Word 2007!
It would be tough to find a book, poem, document or report that you haven’t read. You love the spoken and written word, and you thrive on information. You are known for being verbose, but eloquent. Among the four 2007 Office applications, you possess the most chutzpah, particularly because you know what “chutzpah” means and have added it to your own Office dictionary. Your vocabulary is constantly growing; even the latest buzz words won’t slow down your spell-checker. Secretly you may admit that you miss having Clippy looking over your shoulder. With the new Microsoft Office Word 2007, you can spend more time doing your favorite thing – writing – and less time formatting. You have always been effective at communicating and collaborating, and now you’ll find it more efficient and enjoyable than ever. Your favorite new feature in Office 2007 may well be the new blogging tool in Word 2007.-

You are Excel 2007!
People trust you to find the right answer. They call you “the wizard” and are in awe of your PivotTable. When you say you love functions, it’s understood that you’re referring to spreadsheets, not social events. You import and export with ease, always maintaining balance. Thanks to your mastery of numbers, people are constantly asking you for help with their own budgets. With the new Microsoft Office Excel 2007, you’ll see how those people can get their own answers – better and faster. They will be amazed that they, too, can create a new chart with only five clicks. You may not have been known as a trendsetter, but your ability to use conditional formatting to “see” new trends was well worth any wait.
