Does your cd-rom work at all in win2k? With anything? If yes, then that is not the problem. Probably, you will need to check the website of your sound card manufacturer and download updated drivers for win2k.

If your win2k os is not recognizing the cd-rom at all, then check with the website of that manufacturer for updated drivers.

This is almost certainly a compatability
problem. It sounds like your CDRom driver was compatable (probably plug and play) with Win 98 but not Win2k Pro. Try going to Microsofts Website (WWW.microsoft.com) and downloading Service pack 2. However, there is no guarntee that your CDRom (or driver)
is compatable with Win2k just because it was compatable with Win 98. Lots of people have that problem. You could also try reinstalling the CDrom driver on Win2kpro if you have it on CD. You can go ahead an let windows try to detect your driver, but I doubt if you will have any luck unless you install SP2 first. Loyal Blair,MCP chessmaster315@yahoo.com
