Which Method to Achieve Certifications?

By kmaki ·
I have found several sources to take various certification. As someone new to the field, how do I decide whether a local center is better than online tutorial? Thanks.

well...

I am a profound believer in experience over paper (certs). However, I do realize the importance of certs on a resume.

I've taken many classroom courses at several different training centers and several different vendors, and I feel that in most instances I would've learned just as much with a good referance book and my practice server.

The exceptions to this were Cisco and Check Point training, the hands on was a pretty big help.

I've never taken an online course, but how different could it be from going it on your own?

Second, you might benefit from an A+ and Network+ certification and go into the computer repair business. You can open your own business, or put your resume out to service centers.

Also, make sure you can communicate well. Technical backgrounds can lead nowhere if you can't communicate effectively.

Computer based Training Rocks

by james In reply to Which Method to Achieve C ...

Comparing Computer based training to instructor led, CBTs main advantage is that you can study a subject and play it again until you get it. This distinct advantage combines the power of using an expert trainer with an instant replay option!
One ofthe Tafes we supply Learnkeys MCSE program too had 59 out of 60 students pass the first time around. The last student passed 2 weeks later! The powerful multimedia format is engaging and is designed to let you succeed. Learnkey is used by hundreds of corporate giants like American Express, AOL ,etc because of its easy to understand format.
