I would go for a Raid10 server (Raid1/0).. and yes i have built one.

But the Doubletake seems good. Do they give you a trial first? If so then see how it goes from there.

Doubletake or Neverfail?

Thanks for that..
You can have an evaluation, am investigating to see what is required. I undestand Doubletake handles encryption, ntfs etc better. There are other options as well to consider: CA Arcserve XSOft and Replication HA Module (we are already licensed for the CA BAckup option), and VSphere Site Recovery! Choices --and cost of course!

Depends on the Requirement in your company.

Hi, I work for CA ARCserve. We have a solution that can do this, but then all solutions have their strengths, the best solution for your company depends on your requirement -
Like what are the servers you currentlly want to Replicate(& what are your plans going forward).
What is your RTO, how much data change & how far is the remote site? Do you want a solution that is easy to setup and use?

ARCserve Replication and High Availability r15 has the following Key Features:
Offline Syncroniztion: Data to the replica is syncronized offline which makes it easier to setup the scenario without impacting available network resources.
Data Rewind: Rewind to a previous state of the machine.
Multiple Replication Types: Continous, Add-hoc and scheduled replication suported.
Multi-platform support: Linux, Unix, Windows.
WAN Optimized Solution.
Integration with ARCserve Backup r15: A lot of satisfied customers backup data to Tape at the off-site replica server insted of having that overhead on the production machine. Arsenal Football Club Success Story
Assured Recovery Testing: Ensures that the failover system is functional without impacting production during the tests.
Full system high availability protects your Windows operating system, system state, application and data through physical to virtual and virtual to virtual replication and failover.
Let me know your requirement and we can work to identify the best configuration(ARCserve or otherwise).
