WIC (cisco)

Dear friends,
I have heared that there is a limtation on
bitrates in the WIC in cisco routers.
One of my friend said that he can not send more than 128 kbps on WIC-1T , and she needs
to a WIC-2T which it can works with up to 2mbps .
Is it true ?
where can I found this technical information ?

You can get the information from Cisco's Web site, especially if you have a CCO login for the site. Just search by model number and wade through the links until you find the right one.

The WIC-1T and the WIC-2T both support up to T1/E1 speeds (1.544 and 2.048 mbps respectively) - the difference between them is just that the WIC-2T has two ports and the WIC-1T only has one.

However, there is a version of the WIC-2 called the WIC-2A/S that only supports 128kbps (synchronous) or 115.2kbps (asynchronous).

It also apparently makes some difference what router the module is installed in - the specifications above were for these modules used in a 3600 series router.
