Win ME boot problem

By pa2ed ·
I recently upgraded from Windows 98SE to Windows Millenium edition....don't ask me why.

When I boot, I get the error message "unable to find C:\Nologo"

I hit OK...and the boot finishes. Attempts to apply "updates" from microsoft fail because "Nologo" can't be found.

What the heck is "Nologo", why isn't on my system, where can I get it or how do I make this go away?

Thanks

Have u tried re-install of Win-ME?
The nologo.bmp maybe under other windows folder copy it from there to the root folder at c:.
If you cannot locate it - simple copy a bmp at C: and name it nologo.bmp - it should work...
Cheers

ONE correct useage is:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\BINDER.EXE" -nologo %1

Another is;

nologo

This is found in 3 .DAT files and in 7 .DLL and 3 .EXE files in windows ME. Looks like either a DAT or DLL is not loading correctly or is corrupted.

This is per an operational ME system, use answer 1 and either reload or freshen the files.
