    win2000 network setup

    having trouble to setup an IP with win2000 system somehow I can not see the IP address with IPCONFIG command?. have any idea if win2000 have a MSDOS command like winipconfig that shows the current IP’s

      Make sure you have installed the TCP/IP protocol…
      ipconfig will not work without it.

      If IP was correctly loaded onto the machine at the time of installation then IPCONFIG at a command prompt should work. You can also try IPCONFIG /ALL.

      I would not recommend trying to run these command from the Run line. It is best if you are in a Comand Prompt window.

      and no there is no utility (GUI Based) like WINIPCFG for Windows 2000.
