WIN2K Dial-Up Networking

By dalejrfan ·
Whenever I dial into my ISP or RAS server at work, the password is not saved. I do have the save password box checked, but it saves a bogus password.

Thanks in advance ! !

WIN2K Dial-Up Networking

Hello,
I have seen this problem on Windows 9X. Delete your connection, and then add it again. This time do not check "Save Password". Try to connect, if it works disconnect. Then re-connect but this time save your password. Then try it again. Normally this happens if the password file is corrupt. If the above don't work, try creating a new Win 2K account and logon under that, and try to connect from there. That will rule out Password file corruption. Hope this helps......

You will be able to save your password under Internet Explorer. Go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Connections. Then select your dial-up Connection that you use, and click on settings. You should be able to see the Dial-up settings below and input the username and password.

Hope this helps. :)
