Windows 2000 restarts 5 times

By NealJ ·
We are running Win 2000 SP2 with Novell client for NT/2000 and NDS authentication. When we load something like Viruscan software or PCAnywhere and restart the system, the system will come up almost to the login screen and then restart itself. Thiswill occur usually 5 times before the login screen appears and we can continue to login and operate normally. Any explanation on why this happens and can it be avoided? Thanks

It is because of the PCanywhere. Just a quick one, are you using PCanywhere 9.0 or above? YOu need to set up the Video Capture Card into minimal rather than accelerated. This will solve your problem.

Cheers!

This is while trying to load pcAnywhere 10.0.1. The problem also occurs when loading service packs or McAfee Viruscan when pcanywhere has not been loaded.

We have not found a solution to this. It may be related to the Novell client running on our workstations.
