How do I put an icon on the taskbar in Win 95?

You can go to Start>Settings>Select the start menu and task bar,window will open and you select to add a short cut,another way is to use the drag and drop,selcect program and drag to the start button and release.

Only OSR2 and later seems to work with this.

I'm assuming the Quick Start area (right next to the Start button). You simply drag whatever you want a shortcut to over that area and release it. If you want to reorder your icons, you can simply grab on and drag it to where you want it.

First you need the Quick Launch option to add icons to the taskbar. Only installing Internet Explorer 4 can give you this option. It's part of the Desktop Enchancements it supplies.
