Windows 98 hang!

I HAD DUAL WINDOWS WIN98SE AND WINXP SP1 ON 40GB HDD(SEAGATE), AMD DURON 1800,MB DFI NF400AL, 256 MB KINGSTONE! I WAS BUY 80 GB SATADRIVE(SEAGATE) AND I PLUG IT! WHEN I PLUG SATA DRIVE MY WIN98 CANNOT BOOTING! HANG ON STARTUP SCREEN! BUT NOT ON WINXP!
WIN98 CAN BOOTING UP AGAIN WHEN I UNPLUG SATA DRIVE! PLEASE GIVE ME SOLUTION!

You probably need to install Win98SE driver for your SATA controller for 98SE to recognize drive.

Disconnect the SATA HDD and boot into 98 then with the CD that came with your M'Board install the SATA drivers. Once this is done reboot the computer just to make sure that 98 is still booting and then when you have confirmed that close the computer down and reconnect the SATA HDD and reboot.

Just a note here though if you have the SATA Drive formated as NTFS (* will be unable to read it as it can only read FAT32 and below file systems.
