Windows 98 Microsoft Client Network

Network login will not come up. You have to start log off and then the newtwork login will come up.

There are several causes for this. One way to fix this is to delete your TCP/IP install, and that includes you network adapter, also. Re-install. Then, rejoin your domain. Of course this is TechRepublic which means you're probably not giving all thepertinent details.

first click on the start menu and click run.
inthe text box type 'regedit'.after opening the regedit and in the find menu ,type autologon and go for find tab.after finding ,select it and change its value from 0 to 1 and restart the system.your problem should be solved.

You computer is doing an autologon.

Go into Regedit and do a search for AutoLogon

When you find it, delete that key.

Then re-boot.

The login screen should be back.
