By is ·
I just installed a new workstation with Windows 98 SE on a K62-400, the machine and software it self works great, but anytime you go to print to the workstation from another the system locks up an frezzes. The system has the epson Stylus 800 an shared accross the network. Never had this problem before wondering if anyone has an answer.

I take it that you are using Windows98 peer network. (Peer networks are not very reliable, but workable if ther are just a handful of PC's.) Here are a few tips for your network.

Make your PC work better:
Install latest drivers for your NIC andprinter.

Lower network traffic:
Let the PC with the printer have a fast processor and 128mb of RAM. Try and use only one protocol for your networking if you can. Turn off file and print sharing on all machines except the one with the shared printer.
