windows media player

what can i do to get my windows media player to stop opening off screen? I cannot drag back into view and I've tried re-downloading. nothing seems to work

Try just changing your resolution (raise it up to your graphiocs card's max) until more of it is viewable on the screen you should be able to grabe a corner handle or double click the upper tool bar depending on what IS visible.

Here is a keyboard tip

Make sure it is the foremost application (the active application). You can press alt + tab to do this then whe it is in front press alt + spacebar then m now you can move that application with the cursors keys

If you don't mind playing in the registry open regedit.exe and go to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Settings

Look for the values X and Y in the right-hand pane and set them both to 0. This will open the media player in the upper left-hand corner. You can then position it where you want it and close it. That should save your settings for that position.
