Windows Patch Management

By d.jones092 ·
Howdy.

Does anyone know of any software out there that will manage/install my Windows critical updates? Not looking for anything fancy. Just want something that will check a network share for the patches and push them out to my clients.

Thanks for any info.

Software Update Services,Download from microsoft site. You are now able to push service pack as well.Good tool for updates hotfixes.I have it on my test intranet.SUS synchronizes with microsoft at your scheduled time and pulls all relevant patches and updated. You authorize the patches for your enviroment.Hope this helps.

Yes, SUS is the way to go, and it's free from MS. Just make sure you don't install it on a DC, an Exchange server, or a Web server. There are very few installation options and it can mess up your web sites if you install it on any of those type of servers.
