Windows server 2003 32 bit to Windows server 2008 64 Bit

Hi,

I need to upgrade my DC which is working on windows server 2003 R2 32bit to Windows server 200864 bit.is it possible? if yes then please help me to upgrade it.

No it's not really possible to upgrade to 64 Bit

You need to do a new clean install of the 64 Bit OS.

So you'll need to backup all your settings wipe the HDD with something like Boot & Nuke

Then install the 64 Bit OS and restore your settings and data.

Why would anybody want to do that?

Personally I think it would be far better to install fresh on new hardware the 64 bit system. Then move the data from the old 32 bit system to the new server. While still preserving all data on the old system. This is a major safety method in case of any failures, system or hardware. And it might be necessary for any legal and / or financial purposes, (archiving).
