    by virgoan ·

hi, again i need your expertise advice in this matter. i was able to solve my user rights problem (such as reading usb thumb drive) by giving them the “Network Configurations Operation” besides “Users” rights; but was unable to solve another problem occurred like running an Intruments such as NEC Therma Tracer program…!!! Again, i do not wish to give Administrator rights; if possible; and if there is a solution for this. Thanks in advance for your quick response.

      Hi

So long as your users belong to the PowerUser group, you should be able to change permissions in the registry to allow them access to the program.

The program will access certain keys, and if your user does not have permission to access them, the program will not run. You should contact the application’s support team and ask them which keys the users should be allowed access to. Then, give the PowerUsers group (or the individual user account), the appropriate permissions over those keys.

      Good luck
