Wireless monitoring

By MartyL ·
A few months ago, I encountered a device called a "WLan 14" which purported to be able to monitor and display traffic on multiple wireless connections simultaneously.

Has anyone else seen or heard of this device or any of its progeny, or seen it in actual use? If so, who is using it and in what kind of applications?

It sounds borderline sinister to me, but I suppose it would be a matter of who uses it and for what.

I have not seen this device personally

But it is touted as a Professional Tool for Wireless Forensics.

As such I would expect it to work as claimed and also be expensive.

It doesn't look as if there's anything sinister about it as it'll likely be used by law enforcement agencies.
