Word 2000 and Taskbar

By jan.backlund ·
When i open more than one document in Word 2000 all documents have one button each in the Win2000 Taskbar. Is it possible to turn off this "feature" so that only one Word button (preferably leading to the last active window in Word) is shown in the taksbar.

Thanks in advance

/Jan

Answer 1 is correct in that this is a new feature in Office 2000.

It appears that this feature can not be turned off.

Sorry.

I'm sorry, as far as I know you cannot turn off this feature in MS Word. But in Excel you can.
In Excel menu choose Tools*Options*, it will show you a dialog window with tabs. In View Tab you can find Windows in Taskbar check box. If this box is checked Excel will show only 1 instance in taskbar.

Hope this will help.
Good luck
