word/outlook question

By learneverything ·
I asked this question back in April and didn't get an answer, so now I'm going for the big points :-)

When you make an envelope or label in Word and you click the button to choose a contact's address from Outlook, it always puts "United States ofAmerica" as the last line of the address and omits the company name. Where can the defaults be changed for this? I'm using Word 97 and Outlook 98. THANKS

1. If you don't want it to print "United States of America", don't complete the Contry/Region field in Contacts.

2. If you want it to print the company name, add it to the Street field in Contacts.

Here we go:
When you get to the point where it ask you to "insert merge field"
add the field in the following order:
<<Company>>
<<First>> <<Last>>
<<Street_Address>> or <<Postal_Address>>
<<City>>, <<State_or_province>> <<Postal_code>>
Once you have it in this format in the box, you can highlight all using your mouse, right-click and select font, to change the font to a size and format the fits your label size.

Good luck!

Thanks, but I'm not merging. I'm using the Tools, Envelopes and Labels method to create a single envelope. If there is a way to set fields in Word for this, I can't find it.
