Word Tables - Tab Stops

By V.AW ·
Is there a way to disable a tab stop within a Microsoft Word table? I have a form that users fill in information, but they have to tab through the labels to get to the cells to enter the data. I would like to set the 'label' cells to inactive and have the tab stop in only the 'input' cells. Any suggestions?

Insert as Excel

Can't you set your table up in Excel and create your formatting there? Not sure, just thinking out loud I guess.

Use form fields

Set up the cells that users fill in as text form fields--then, "protect" or lock the form. When the users then tab through the table, the active cells will only be the ones that have the text form fields in them, not the labels.
