XP command line print command

By achurcheh ·
How does one determine the "device" name to be used from the cmd.exe line. System info says I have a local HP printer on USB002 port. I want to say "print /D:device filename"; how do I determine the device?

Thank you.

Only LPT and COM destinations are valid for the print command

however, a share is an allowable destination...so it might be possible to print to your own shared printer (never tried it)
