just got back from having a complete lung function test done at Burnaby Hospital.
the fev1 [ Forced Expressed Volume in 1 second ] from the first one was 29, today it was 38.
a 900 Milliliter increase in air flow.
seems the puffers have had a dramatic effect 🙂

    edit to add:

of course, the inhaled steroids have a side effect of trashing my voice. :/
but sounding like I have a bad cold/sore throat is an acceptable tradeoff for easier breathing. :p

Just tell everyone you’re related to Lauren Bacall. That’s what I do when I have throat issues. Or tell everyone that you ran into a burning building to rescue a kitten. The point is to change up the story every time, making it more and more unbelieveable. Think of it as a social experiment to track the gullibility of society as a whole.

Nothing like being able to breathe!

As you know everyone in Van is down with bronchitis now, it’s all around me, people are dropping like flies. Could I be so lucky to avoid it? Not bloody likely, have a little tickle in the throat today, here we go!

Glad to hear your lungs are starting to pump air again. From what I understand, we all need air, mine are subjected to a mixture of Air, Benzene, Formaldehyde, Ammonia, Acetone, Tar, Nicotine, Carbon Monoxide, Arsenic and Acetone.

or, as the Canadian Lung Association feels:

Life, Fuel Additives, Embalming Fluid, Toilet Cleaner, Nail Polish Remover, Tar, Insecticides and Addictive Drugs, Car Exhaust Fumes, Rat Poison and Gas Chamber Poison!! YAY Canadian Lung Assn! First you put ugly pictures on my smokes then you make me sound like a living breathing chemical treatment plant, which I guess is pretty close after all. MMMMMM, time for a smoke!
